Tonks had spent most of the past week worrying more than usual about Remus, not only because he was ill, but because if this full moon happened to be worse than usual, then the effects it would have on Gabe could be devastating.
Luckily they'd had time to prepare him, and all in all, Gabe seemed ready and willing to face it all. He could never be fully ready, really, and she knew that, but at least he was as ready as he would likely be.
"We shared a sandwich earlier," she said, heading into the living room while trying to hide her usual worried air. The full moons never got easier. "I figured that would tide him over until popcorn tonight. Do you need anything?" she added to Remus, giving him a kiss on the cheek before she dropped down in front of Gabe. "C'mon, buddy, let's get your shoes on."
