It was Delaney's statement that reminded Gretchen of why she didn't have any friends who were women. She couldn't have cared less about putting Delaney's girlfriend at ease. Hell, she hardly cared about putting Trevor at ease and he was the closest thing to a boyfriend or best friend she had.
Speaking around a mouthful of food, Gretch shrugged. "If you've already slept with her, why do you care about putting her at ease? If you're comfortable at Diamond, why not take her there?" Even as the words were leaving her mouth, she regretted the phrasing. Questions were stupid, she chided herself, they only lead to an oversharing of information.
