Jack had been debating ordering a coffee, but in the end it was a good thing he hadn't. Because when Heathcote came up behind him, he yelped in a rather uncool way and startled as well. Had he been drinking coffee, he surely would have dumped it all over himself.
Twisting his head, he looked up at the man standing behind him. Heathcote Barbary. In the flesh. Oh, Jack had been to many Weird Sisters shows, but this was different. He was so close and... wow. He looked even better.
"Hi," he said, his voice sounding slightly funny, so he cleared his throat and tried again. "Hi. Yeah, I'm Jack Sloper." He stood up himself and stuck out his hand to shake.
"It's great to meet you," he said, trying not to sound all gushity gush gush.
