Meghan's stomach was flipping around in a way that had nothing to do with the morning sickness, but she continued to tell herself it was stupid. They'd made a mess of things in the past, but that didn't mean they weren't together for good now or that there was any reason to be scared at them finally saying it out loud.
"I know, I know, me, too, I've just been too stupid and scared to say anything, but I really do. I love you."
They were both babbling and Meghan had to remind herself to take a breath, but she couldn't deny being kind of happy and she answered him with a grin when he said she'd be a beautiful mum.
"Let's go home, yeah?" she suggested, once again realizing they were still here in the exam room, which wasn't nearly so nice as his flat - which was to be theirs now, apparently. She'd miss her own place, but she kind of liked the sound of that in her head.
