So kisses, hugs and presents were not the answer. Delaney went to eat more of her food, only to find her plate empty, and before she could check herself a mournful little whimper escaped her throat. She had been enjoying her meal, and hadn't been ready for it to be all gone. Biting her lip, she signaled the waiter and ordered some garlic bread, not wanting to appear gluttonous but still hungry enough to need more food.
That done, she turned her attention back on Maeve. "Yes, I have," she agreed readily. "But every time I mention it, you either disagree with me or change the subject, which leads me to believe that you think I'm either lying or crazy. I thought bringing it up more often might acclimatize you a little to the fact that I'm attracted to you." She smiled, hoping she wasn't coming off too harsh. She had meant her words to be semi playful.
