Greg was looking up and didn't see Theo's reaction, not really expecting any sort of answer from him in this state. He did give a loud heavy sigh, and then finally allowed himself to look at Theo who was definitely looking...what? Out of sorts? Even for Theo's current state, Greg thought he looked more depressed, and almost braced. Greg watched him, studying him; it made Greg crazy to see how utterly distant and withdrawn Theo could become and it made him want to chase away those bad feelings, even as he worried about Theo's health and his weight.
He waited, and let his eyes shift to the sandwich he'd dropped on the floor. For a moment, a long moment, Greg contemplated eating it anyhow; he'd eaten worst food off the floor at Azkaban before. Instead, his eyes moved to the bag in Theo's lap and Greg found himself moving to sit next to the other boy, "Okay, so you're not saying anything. I can take that as a, 'sure Greg, make me eat,' or a 'fuck you Greg, you are crazy to be thinking that kind of shit.' Not sure which it is, but....," and he looked sad but moved his hand to pull the bag out of Theo's lap, "I'm not sure, so let's look in here instead," he said and he poured the contents out onto the floor.
The books slipped out, as well as the magazines, and a small bag of candy treats from Honeydukes landed on the pile, along with a bag of crisps and two large oranges. Greg reached for one, and after smelling it, began to peel it, filling the room with the sharp citrus smell.
"I don't know what to do, Theo. Help me," he said quietly as he slowly peeled the orange, dropping the peels in a pile on the floor.
