Neville had let his mind go back to Greg at Hogwarts and had barely managed to stop himself as a pretty woman almost bumped into him. He returned the smile, recognizing her and he stopped, "Mandy! Hello! Nice to see you," he said, as he crossed his arms, and quickly stepped out of the way of a moving couple. He dropped his arms, even as he felt slightly bashful but decided that facing her with crossed arms might make her think he was mad or something, "I'm good, really good. How are you doing?" he asked.
Even as he asked, he felt his stomach growl and he just realized that he hadn't eaten anything since five that morning, "Excuse me," he said, as he heard and felt it gurgle, "I guess I'm hungrier than I thought," and he grinned even as his face went a bit pink. They weren't far from a cafe; he had just walked past one.
"Say, are you busy? We could...maybe go grab something to eat? And catch up? I've got loads to share," and then he added hastily, "Unless you have already plans. I bet you have plans. I didn't mean to pry," and he found he couldn't help his nervousness; he could face some fears but talking to a pretty girl still made him hesitate slightly and feel like a third year.
