Greg had seen them coming with Theo, and he had immediately frowned at the way he watched the orderlies handle Theo. His friend didn't see him as they moved past him, at least Greg thought that at first, and he followed behind. When they'd sort of shoved Theo into his room and turned to go, Greg was standing in their way, his arms crossed across his chest with an incredible scowl on his face.
"Next time, I best see you handle him a bit gentler," and his eyes shifted from one man to the other, "Am I right?" and they both looked nervously and nodded, and slipped past Greg who had not budged, making their passageway difficult. He let his shoulders drop as soon as they were out of the room, and he shut the door carefully and turned to look at Theo, across the room in the corner.
"Hey there," he said, smiling brightly, "Theo? It's Greg. Told you I'd come back," he said, as he approached his friend, to take a seat on the bed. His hand went into his pocket to pull out the large bag of sweets he had bought the day before. He turned to face Theo, "Look what I've brought to share with you," he said, rattling the bag slightly and reaching in to pull out a hard wrapped toffee. He held it out to Theo, "I got a mix. You want this one?" he offered.
