Remus was typically male in some ways. He was skittish over certain female problems, and found some of the idiosyncrasies of women baffling and confusing. And, apparently, faced with a woman in possible labor, he panicked.
Remus' eyes widened. "You've been. . . why didn't you say something? Shouldn't we get you to a Healer? Is it safe for you to apparate anywhere?" Tonks had already told him that she didn't plan on going to Mungo's, and Remus agreed with that, given how easy it would be for Ministry to interfere there. But that didn't mean she shouldn't be monitored. "Should I tell Hestia? She can take care of you, that's what you planned, right? Should I get you anything? Are you sure you don't want your mother there yet?"
