"Not quite," Penny said teasingly before folding her menu and catching the eye of the waitress.
The waitress just stared back, shrugged and went back to counting the tarot cards she held in her multi-coloured nail polished hands.
"Oh somewhere warm where the most taxing thing to do was decide which bikini. I don't think I should attempt to pronounce the name of the resort, knowing my luck there would be a local behind me and then they'd take offence.
Sometimes when she closed her eyes, she could imagine that she was lying back on the beach and not have to worry about what the morning would bring.
"I really needed it. It was a bit embarassing to be told to take a holiday by my boss but they were right. I feel so much more refreshed and ready to tackle my thesis and get it finished."
After placing their orders, Penny broke all conventions of propriety and placed her elbows on the table. "When was the last time you took a holiday Charlie? Don't work as hard as Percy, please?"
