"I'm not certain what Draco knows of it," she said. "I haven't said a word to him about it, but Severus could have. If I could reach him I would be able to find out. My sister.. I.. don't think she would say anything unprovoked, but, if He asked her I can't be certain she wouldn't betray me for The Dark Lord. Her devotion is.. well, it's no secret where her loyalties ultimately lie." She actually smiled a little. "I understand the consequences. I don't regret what I did. You're right, dead is dead no matter who's hand dealt it." She appreciated the effort he was taking to assure her of her safety, but she knew the danger was still quite present. If she was punished, it wouldn't be because someone else intervened in killing Dumbledore; it would be because she ignored His orders of secrecy.
Narcissa shook her head. "He can look into our minds, Lucius. If he knew you had this knowledge and said nothing about it, what do you think he'd do to you? I've put you at a terrible risk by confessing all of this. You've endured so much as it is. I don't want you being hurt further for my behavior."
