She repeated the word quietly, as she nodded her head for a moment. Had it been easier? Not particularly. It had been confusing. Although the two were far from joined at the hip, she had certainly felt his absence over the past week. Even just a smile in the corridor or their little chats after class had ended.
But the not talking had been her doing.
