Julien didn't deal with problems very well, and when he did he tended to distract himself, immerse himself as much as possible in other things so that he could pretend that the problems didn't exist. Unfortunately, this meant that nothing else could exist along with it, including food and sleep and generally looking after himself.
He wasn't in bad condition though, not this time around, and he hadn't been able to completely block out the world. Hadn't been able to forget Alfie. Didn't want to forget Alfie.
He knew that Alfie was still a bit gunshy about the whole thing and that he didn't want them to be out in public, which was some of the reason for his anonymous valentines owl, but he knew that he was already in too deep. If Alfie decided it wasn't worth the trouble anymore, Julien was pretty much screwed.
He loitered around the door to their room for a second, sure that no one else was around to watch, and then ducked inside, closing it behind him and immediately smiling at Alfie, the sight of him the only thing that helped anymore. "Hey." he said softly.
