Nodding in agreement, Verity pointed at him. "She probably would've! She only let me in cos I'm her sister. And even then, she just left me in the bathroom, then pointed and laughed at me in the morning. Wouldn't even make me a proper fry-up!" She pulled a mournful face. "Not a bacon slice in sight."
It took Verity a moment to follow his train of questions and she debated reaching over for her own mug, but decided against it. "Uh, not long. We opened the shop in December. But I was still back in Diagon. I didn't move here until January." She paused and shook her head slightly, shooting him a rueful smile. "I don't... Not since that time I made an utter prat of myself."
