Following Trev's gestures, Verity furrowed her brow. It hadn't helped her understand what it was exactly Trevor was talking about. "Do you work together, or do you," she paused and nudged the air with her elbow, waggling her eyebrows at him. "Work together?"
At his question, she shook her head. "How about coffee first, then beer later?" She pushed off the couch and padded into the kitchen, pouring two mugs of coffee. "Yeah, haha. Not everyone has amazing cousins who'll take them in when they drink too much. Some of us have to settle for bossy older sisters." Levitating a shaker of sugar and a small container of milk, Verity followed them back into the living room, setting one mug on the coffee table and holding the other out to her cousin.
