BIKE RACE!
Who: EVERYONE (Especially request Takeshi for POSSIBLE EPIC (or non epic) RACE RIVALRY?)
What: Bike race!
Where: Ossia Park
When: After the gym raids sometime?
Why: To go fast and stay in good health!

Glen desperately wanted to be helping Ayumi or Ember in the aftermath of the raids.  They were...not really friends but they were important! And good people as far as she was aware! They certainly didn't deserve to be raided by jerks! And they did deserve all the help that she could offer. Even now, five minutes before it all started she had half a mind to cancel everything. But the real leaders had said it was bad to let badguys affect stuff and, whether she liked it or not, the real leaders were (mostly) older than her, (mostly) smarter than her and (probably) right.

Oh well. The finish line was in Sienna anyway and it was only a short ride from there to Cardinal. She'd be able to see how Ayumi was holding up after everyone had finished.

There was a good turnout considering that there was no prize being offered. Maybe people needed something like this after those raids anyway, keeping thier minds off things. Or maybe a lot of people just liked cycling.

After lecturing a small boy she'd seen at her gym a few times on the importance of helmets she got ready at the start line, Riolu and the basket absent from her bicycle for extra speed. Not that she needed it.

Tamaki punched his fist into the air with a loud whoot as he hurried to Ossia Park. Grinning happily he laughed and cheered, "Yes I'm fit and ready for some fun. No more bandages!"

The doctor had finally agreed to let him out of his confines, feeling that the danger of the shock was well passed and Tamaki was glad he could freely move around again. Fixing a look around him he turned and smiled to Glen whom he saw on her bike, minus Rilou and her basket. He found it amusing that the smaller girl was so determined to prove herself, but she still had a lot to learn. They both had.

Waving at her he grinned, "Hey, ready to ride Glen?"

"Always." Glen said, nodding and grinning. She stretched her arms, leahing forward on the bike and staring ahread instead of looking at Tamaki, focussed on getting ready to go fast.

"You're all better now? Don't go falling off, then."

"ooooh I'm soooo scared. What are you going to do, push me off?" Tamaki teased and got on the bike readying himself to get out of the starting gate.

"I suppose we're going to be flying, aren't we Glen? First one to the end of the race wins!"

Ester had come to watch the race, she wasn't sure if she had wanted to participate in it, but it looked like a lot of fun. She glanced around for the race sign in, looked over at some of the others that were there. Spotting Glen she shouted out, "Hey Glen! Over here! What are you doing? Do you think you can win?"

"Pinky!" Glen shouted back, waving. She cycled slowly over.

"You joining in? There's no prize but it should be good fun. Good excersize, too." She said, adjusting her helmet.

"Coming to you live from Ossia Park where a cycling race is about to get underway," Chase reported into the camera. "While this intrepted Reporter is going to be watching the race, I should like to note that hopefully, in the future, I will be able to participate. For those willing to come to the park the race starts in a little under an hour, so I suggest you get here soon."

Smiling brightly he waited till the commerical and then looked around. It was a nice day for this, and considering the recent raid it was going to be something fun to report on. Still he wondered exactly how they could be having such an event when there was raids and attacks going on.

Of course, because he had nothing better to do than to get into pointless matches with people, Takeshi was there with his bike. He kind of didn't have a choice in wearing a helmet (even though he didn't want to) and arrived shortly after everyone else started checking in. He noticed Glen.. and approached her with a smirk.

"Hey shorty, better get out of the way. There's gonna be a big kid's race here soon."

"Huh, so they must have made an exception for you, Pongy?" Glen replied, proud of herself for actually having a comeback for once. It would be a little more impressive if she hadn't thought of it a few weeks ago and waited for Takeshi to say something like that so she could use it. Oh well.

She finished strapping on her elbow guards and adjusted her helmet again. "Try not to get too upset at the finish line, huh Pongy?"

A Magnemite looked around at the bikes racing together through Ossia Park, levitating around them as Jirou cycled from behind. Ever since its release from it's Pokeball, it had followed instructions to the letter, and it wanted the two of them to win.

Releasing magnetic power, it stuck together a bunch of bikes in a clump.

Glen felt a sudden jerk and braced herself for a fall but it didn't happen. Her bike suddenly felt a lot heavier but she ignored it and leaned forward, pedalling harder.

Jirou was leisurely cycling past. He didn't need to rush with Magnemite holding people back. He'd need his energy for later. Of course, he wasn't going to admit the steel Pokemon was his. He knew not to get caught with his hand in the biscuit tin.

"Bye then. I'll see you at the finish line!"

He smiled and rode on.

NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT

Glen still hadn't noticed why her bicycle felt so much heavier. She snarled as she pedalled harder fruitlessly, the tires of her bike starting to eat into the dirt path.

"Jerk! Get back here you I can kick your stupid head!" She yelled after Jirou.
