1 — Uniform
Zuko is kneeling in front of his bed, folding the uniform to his former private school to place in the trunk. He can sense another’s presence and he spoke without turning. “What do you want, Azula?” He asked.
“So it is true. You really are leaving.”
“Sorry to disappoint you,” he replies and gets to his feet slowly. Azula has her arms crossed and a knowing grin pulling at the corners of her mouth.
“Then one last spar? Before you venture off into the world?”
Zuko returns her grin with one of his own before pulling her close and pressing a heated kiss to her skin. They both knew full well that it was not a show of bending prowess she was asking for.
2 — Jealously
Zuko is jealous of Azula. Because she is Father’s favorite and is showered with attention. Because she is a phenomenal bender. Because the tempting curve of her mouth has the ability to drive a person insane. Zuko is jealous because she has control over him, control he wishes he possessed over her.
And she cries out.
His attention is drawn to her and he presses a kiss to her lips to silence her. “What did I tell you about noise, ‘Zula?” He says with a smirk and Azula looks up at him with flushed cheeks. He tsks and presses a finger to her lips. “Now I will have to punish you.”
She twists and writhes beneath him and Zuko smirks. For now, he had control.
But tomorrow, he would be jealous of Azula again.
3 — Embrace
“I didn’t know you liked to cuddle.” He says and he pulls her close to him as they lay, limbs entangled and hair mussed and breathing uneven.
“There is much about you that you do not know, Brother,” she replies and rests her cheek against his chest.
He brushes her hair from her eyes and smiles at her. “I suppose there is.”
There is silence for a moment before Azula peers up at him with bright, golden eyes.
“What?”
Azula hesitates. She wants to tell him not to go. And yet…“Nothing.” She says finally and is silent, absently kissing Zuko’s chest.
4 — Argument
The siblings quarrel often. And they struggle against one another. In a jumble of entwined limbs and fevered kisses, they fight for domination, power. They are Ozai’s children after all.
It is a war of sorts. A war that could never truly be won, only manipulated. They are, after all, Ozai’s children.
And their battle ground is twisted sheets, grasped tightly in hands heated hands that threatened to burn them at a moment’s notice. The air is split then with final, desperate cry that servants pretend they do not hear. And the young victor hovers over her captive and kisses him fiercely, to gloat. And he vows revenge. They are, after all, Ozai’s children.
5 — Rumor
“I heard a curious rumor the other day,” Ursa says to her children while they take their tea outside one sunny day. “The servants believe we have spooks or spirits or some such nonsense.”
Azula and Zuko exchange a glance and Azula laughs a haughty laugh while Zuko merely chuckles. Spooks indeed.
“They claim to have heard rather ghastly moaning just the other night. I wonder if there is any truth to it.”
Azula purses her lips and sips her tea. “How ridiculous. I have not heard anything. Have you, Zuzu?”
Zuko’s response is delayed (he really should stop thinking of how kissable Azula’s lips look now.) though he finally shrugs and shakes his head. “Nope, not a sound.”
6 — Absurd
“Do you love me, Azula?” He asks one day while she lies in his bed, reading something of no particular interest.
She arches an eyebrow and glances at him before returning to her book, turning the page swiftly. “What has prompted this rather ridiculous question, Zuko?”
He shrugs and lies down beside her. “No reason; just curious.” He props himself up on his arm and brushes a kiss along her thigh. “Do you love me?” He smiles at her and can tell from the look on her face what her answer will be.
Azula snorts and returns to her book. “Certainly not. Do not be absurd.”
7 — Message
Jin is in the next room, humming away and unpacking her belongings. While Zuko is outside, getting the mail.
There are a few letter addressed to Jin from a several colleges she applied to. An electric bill. A card from Uncle. A letter from Jin’s parents. And at the bottom of the stack is a dark red envelop, Zuko’s name written in loopy, ornate letters.
He glances around to ensure Jin is no where in sight before opening it carefully. He recognizes the perfume on the paper and he smiles to himself. He cannot help it.
“You are missed, Zuzu.” Is written plainly on the paper. And it is signed with a kiss.
