Rose rounded a corner at a run, ran into someone, and swung behind them, "You didn't see me."

A version of the tenth incarnation Doctor, one that felt wrong, strolled by the intersection a moment later, heading right past them.

Rose leaned back, her back against the brick wall. "Oh thank God."

Rose sat in the park with a botany book and a oak leaf, under the tree the leaf had come from.

"Quercus pet- petraea," she slowly sounded out, or "Quercus robur? I am even looking at the right subgenus?"

Lis's Ten

Rose sat down next to the Doctor on a picnic blanket in the park.

She'd been home again. She'd lived, she'd traveled, and she'd gotten stuck on the other side of a void in time and space from a man who looked just like this one.

She offered him a basket of chips silently.

Jack really wasn't having a great day.

Since getting back, he'd encountered two versions of himself. One an updated version of Brant who he still very definitely was in love with, in a slightly wary and confused way, and the other a past he really wished he didn't think he'd been like.

Rooftops were out, since that just raised the probability of running into another version of himself.

Drinking was out. Period.

So he headed out through the lobby of the hotel, determined to find somewhere he could simply re-adjust.

Except that he very nearly ran into someone on his way out, hands rising automatically to catch them, steadying himself at the same time. "Damn. Sorry. Are you okay?"

Open to all!

The Master was sitting at one of the tables savoring a shot of whiskey as he waited for people to show up. He'd traded out of his usual politician's suit, for a longer, more closely tailored knee length jacket, and had actually lost the tie. The white rose remained pinned, of course.

Everything was set up. Tables, large enough for 4 or 5 people to sit comfortably, around the outside of the room. Food and open bar at the far wall from the doors. And still a fairly large space in the middle for dancing. It was going to be interesting to see how many people showed up, because frankly he wasn't sure what the population of the town was. He couldn't help but wonder, given the malleable and mind bending nature of the this place - if more people showed up then could really fit, would the room mysteriously seem bigger? It wasn't a completely absurd idea, here.

As predicted, there were no Doctors with red roses and black converses in sight, yet.

Mecca's Rose

He'd gone back after talking to Rowan. Back through a shop door and into Torchwood Cardiff, as if he'd never left. A faint impression of having forgotten something soon abandoned for hauling Mickey back out to the SUV, and refusing to go back into the Hub. Jack insisted on going back to London with them, and the entire trip had been one argument running into another.

It had been made fairly clear that he wouldn't be able to take the Master away from Earth and his little plan without bringing Jack along as well, and he wasn't going to subject his TARDIS to that much trauma. Three days locked in a suite with the Master that he carefully pretended didn't happen, and at least he was fairly certain he could leave the Master alone for a few years without him taking over the universe.

Not that he intended to do so. Took the TARDIS, picked up his companion, headed off on adventures. Walked out of the TARDIS one morning and into a cafe that wasn't where he'd landed it, memory rushing back at him. He spun around, glaring at the empty space where the TARDIS should be, and sighed, running a hand over his hair.

Turning back, he spotted a familiar figure, and winced. He didn't know how long it had been since he'd been here, only that it had been most of a month for him. He approached slowly, his hands in his pockets, and slouching slightly.

"Rose?"

Open (Rose) - finished

The Doctor had found a pub with a pool table and was amusing himself trying to pot balls at random.

He wasn't very good at it. His latest attempt sent a ball flying off the table and halfway across the floor.

Anyone not a version of the Master

The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS, and stopped short. He appeared to be no where neat where he'd thought he'd be. He reached out and patted the TARDIS, "That's been happening much less since we gave you an overhaul. There's no way I got the coordinates wrong. What's the matter? Did something grab your attention?"

He stepped back in, and checked the coordinates anyways. He's set them correctly, but all his other instruments said he was both no-where and no-when. But he was clearly somewhere. How very strange. Well, he didn't need to go home right now, that was the joy of a having time machine. Might as well take a look around. Might be fun. Might be some trouble that needed fixing.

He ambled around looking to see if there was anyone else in the area. He wandered up to the first person he saw, put on his brightest grin, and said, "Oh, hello! This may seem rather odd, but could you tell me where we are? And what year it is?"

Rose played with her phone, tongue sticking out slightly as she tried to send her mother another text message. It kept coming back 'Out of Service Area'.

It had never done that before, not since the Doctor had supercharged it on the Platform. That, more than anything really scared her. Even in her nightmares, she figured she'd still be able to contact her mum. Like this? She was completely cut off.

"Come on, you bloody thing. Work damn it."

After some wandering and a few wrong turns, Jack finally found what appeared to be a dining area. He would have kept going if it weren't for his stomach rumbling a protest and demanding attention, so he took a detour near a cart of snacks and coffee, pouring himself a cup and grabbing a muffin. No sense in trying to figure out what was going on with an empty stomach, and a couple of Adric's crisps hadn't done much more than get his appetite started.

Taking a swig from his coffee (not bad for the afterlife), he turned and ran full-on into whomever had been standing behind him - a bit too close, he added belatedly. He managed not to spill any coffee on his uniform, but it was a near thing. The other person, however, wasn't spared.

She was tired. She was cranky. She was half-leaning into the bar and yawning, waiting for her coffee. "Oh god, coffee. I can't deal with this place without it, I swear."

Rose - Mecca

When the choice was between a room in a hotel and room on the TARDIS, Jack's decision was predictable. He took the room on the TARDIS. Especially since he needed very little space, the TARDIS might just be able to provide a way out of this place, and at the very least had more interesting corridors to wander.

Besides, he still had a key.

So, he was wandering the halls and trying to see if he could find the room that would be his - or Rose's, he wasn't really that picky about it. His attention was turned so far inward, trying to keep a decent read on the TARDIS without fighting his own shields - that he almost didn't hear someone walking, until they were on top of him.

"Did you get lost in your own ship?" he called out, expecting the Doctor.

Rose was searching for the TARDIS after leaving the other Rose and her Doctor. She was wandering down the street, hands in her pockets of her red hoodie. "I can't believe he wandered off. Just like him. And talkin' about me wandeirng," she grumbled.

Ten, Rose, and Rose

They followed one of the lights on Rose's computer screen to the person with the sonic screwdriver. The corridors were windy, twisting through the buildings, leading them out, then in. "He's just ahead," Rose caught the other Rose's wrist, "You okay?"

She woke on a lush carpet in a lush room; not the floor of Satellite Five, the last place she remembered being. She remembered...she remembered getting the Tardis to bring her back, back to the Doctor and Jack, back to the Emperor of the Daleks. She remembered seeing everything. All of time and space, but it was distant now, a story she was told, not the surge in her veins that she remembered. Rose sat up on the floor, rubbing her arms, head throbbing. She remembered watching the emperor burn. All of the Daleks disappear at her thought, scattered across time and space. She remembered Jack breathing again because she couldn't lose him. She remembered pain, the sun and the moon and the stars aching in her body, part of her. She remembered tears and then she remembered being kissed and feeling everything disappear, glowing and hot into the Doctor.

Then nothing.

It was cold here and she grabbed the blanket off the bed, wrapping it around herself until she was warmer, rocking back and forth and achingly lonely after feeling the entirety of time.

Eventually she got out of the blanket, decided the Doctor was not coming, and headed out the door, whobbling a little, unsteady on her feet as she headed out into the hall, looking for a familiar face or a familiar anything and looking very lost. She was looking another way when she felt someone come up beside her, turning slightly to ask, "This sounds stupid, but where are we?"
