It was night time in a quiet place that was selling what approximated as coffee, off from the main stretch of New New York. Mitchell had been nursing a cup for the last hour, risking the glares of the cafe owner, eking out the last of the coffee's heat through his fingerless gloves. He was deep in thought, had been for some time now, and he was sick of it.

Sick of just his own thoughts keeping him company, sick of missing people, and just so damn sick of feeling so damn sick.

His head looked up when someone came into the cafe, and he risked a small smile. "Hi there," he said softly.

Eric frankly disliked having to do anything mundane, but he also was going to give De Final the best chance he could. It meant that he was currently zooming through the city, going from bar to coffee house to every damn shop in town, and, well. Leaving flyers. Without so much as asking anybody's permission, which made him feel only slightly better about doing such a mundane task.

"Evening," he said after a moment's pause at the greeting, a pack of flyers in hand. They got nonchalantly dropped at the end of the counter, and then he took a seat at the table without being invited to. "You must be Mitchell."

Vampire, but even more off than Asher or Jean-Claude. And a definitely young vampire at that. Drinking coffee. A curiosity.

	"Whereas drinking blood does?" Only when one wasn't careful. Or wanted to draw attention. He straightened up, caught the waiter's eye. "TruBlood. AB negative." The waiter came back with the warmed up bottle, moving to set it down in front of Eric before a nod of his told the man that it was intended for Mitchell. "Now tell me, does it smell like blood?" He lifted it to his lips, eyes still on Eric until the last possible moment. He took his time, scenting it deeply to ensure there was nothing there that may be dangerous for him to consume. Satisfied, he took a small sip, rolling it around his tongue before swallowing.

Blinking slowly, his eyes slid to black, but his fangs didn't descend. "Ah," he sighed. "Jeesus, that's close enough. You must be known in your world. I mean, to have this as an option?"

	It wasn't an option, it was disgusting. But it was still a very good PR stunt. Close enough? Never, but if Mitchell could bear to drink coffee, TruBlood was bound to be the drink of gods. "We are," Eric confirmed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
