Sam nodded at Cait when she agreed that they should screw the IOA. "That's the way," she told her, patting her shoulder. "We'll work it out, no matter what it takes."
Once the younger woman agreed to be there during her check-in, they went back to Operations. After the Gate opened, Landry soon appeared on her screen.
And delivered the news about the IOA members.
"What?" she said, feeling her mouth go dry. She didn't like most of the IOA members, but she definitely would never have wished something like that on anyone. "Oh God, Hank. How many?"
"Five in all. The IOA is a mess as you can imagine. There are only two members left." Landry ran a hand through his hair and sighed before sitting forward and folding his hands on the desk. "It's going to be a long while before it gets itself sorted out. So for the time being, I'm pretty much in charge. Anyway, what's going on? You've been pretty quiet for a couple of weeks."
Taking a deep breath, Sam looked over at Cait before the two of them started explaining to them what had happened as a result of Cait's injuries in the explosion. Landry's eyes widened in amazement, but he was understanding about the whole thing.
"Because of all this, we have a request," Sam said. "We want to give Carson's mother Helen Beckett, classified access and allow her to come visit Atlantis."
