"This is really good, mom," Evan commented as he started to eat. The food on Atlantis wasn't bad but it didn't compare to home coking. However, when his mom brought up Kyri's parents, Evan slightly frowned and laid his hand on Kyri's arm. He then smiled when his mom offered to give her the recipe. "She must really like you, hon," he said with a smirk. "She wouldn't even let Anna and I watch as she cooked it."
"You hush, Evan, and stop being a smart mouth," Marie said before she looked at Kyri. "You're a saint for putting up with him."
Evan rolled his eyes and laughed before going back to his meal. When they were finished, he sent Kyri and his mom out to the living room so he could clean up. Once he was finished, Marie told him to show Kyri to his old bedroom so she could rest for a bit.
After grabbing their bags, Evan took Kyri upstairs and to a small bedroom. "It's not much," he said about the room, which contained a dresser, desk and bed. "Since I stay here during leave, I got rid of all my childhood things."
Once he had the bags set down, he took Kyri's hand and tugged her over to the bed. He helped her on it before laying next to her. "How are you liking it so far?" he asked as he wrapped his arms around her and held her against him.
