Caitlin was glad Carson was all right. The last thing she wanted was to hurt him. Leaning her forehead against his, she stared into his eyes. When he suggested they get away for a few days, she felt herself calm a little. It was so difficult for her to concentrate with all the new smells and sounds surrounding her, and she knew time away would help.
"I would like that very much," she whispered before softly kissing him. Carson was so good to her. She had put him through so much and he was still there. Caitlin would have to find a way to properly thank him. "We should have Rodney and Kade come back so we can talk to them. I'm still worried Rodney is upset with me."
She carefully slipped off his lap and went to the bathroom, where she gathered some towels and returned to the bedroom. She cleaned the both of them up before they gathered their clothes and got dressed. Once they were, Caitlin used her connection to call Kade and Rodney back.
When they arrived, Caitlin found herself avoiding eye contact with Rodney. She wasn't sure if he was upset with her or not. "Are you mad at me?" she finally asked. "I..I could smell it earlier..."
Rodney stared at her for a brief moment before shaking his head. "No. I could never be mad at you. I was mad at everything else, and worried. I never want to see you hurt and I didn't know how to handle myself. Kade helped me relax," he said as he stepped forward and pulled Caitlin into a tight embrace. "I love you."
"I love you too," she whispered as she held on to him.
