Caitlin found herself smiling when Carson agreed to take her home. They didn't get spend enough alone time together anymore. Looking back at Kade, her smile widened when she saw he wasn't going to follow them. Carson was hers, and she wasn't going to allow anyone to bother them. When they got back to their quarters, Caitlin shook her head. "I'm fine. Come snuggle with me on the couch," she said.
She didn't wait for Carson to answer before pulling him down on the couch with her. Snuggling close, she let out a content sigh as she nuzzled his neck. As she did, Caitlin suddenly had the urge to taste his blood. She could hear it rushing through his veins, and she wanted it. "Carson...have you ever thought about what it would be like drink another human's blood?" she asked.
Before she could say more, the doors slid open and Kade walked in with Rodney. "Cait, we need to talk," he said.
Caitlin moved closer to Carson and stared at Kade. "About what?" she asked.
"There's something wrong with you and if it's what I think...then the legend is true," Kade said with a worried look. "You enthralled Doctor Woods, didn't you? And you've been smelling and hearing things you haven't before. That's why you attached yourself to Carson...because he seems inviting to you. I even bet you've wanted to taste his blood."
Tears filled Caitlin's eyes and she nodded. "I can't help it! I can smell and hear things I couldn't before, and the only person I want to be around is Carson. What's wrong with me?" she cried. Suddenly, there was a sharp in her mouth, followed by one in her lower lip. Caitlin could smell her own blood but it smelled different from human blood.
"Oh god," Rodney said, his eyes wide. "Why does she have fangs?"
Kade dropped in front of Caitlin and frowned. "I-I think my blood turned her into a Sangui," he softly said.
