Fred raised her eyebrows and looked at Chase before nodding. Three was enough. She loved her children dearly but she didn't think she could handle anymore. Raising three stubborn children in a place like Atlantis was going to be tough enough without throwing another one into the melee. "No more," she said with a firm nod.
She thanked the nurse before he left and then looked up at John. "Not at the moment. I might want some food later," she said as Meredith started to stir. It was about time to feed her so Fred shifted on the bed and looked at Alex. "I'm going to feed Mere now. Can you help me and get a towel out of the diaper bag?"
"Sure," Alex said.
Once she returned with the towel, Fred placed it on her own shoulder before prepping herself to feed the youngest of her children. Soon Mere was eating and Fred over at her husband. I love you. Thank you for all of this, she told him.
When Mere was finished eating, Fred burped her and handed her over to John to change. Alex got up and got a diaper and wipe out of the bag for John and handed it over to him.
"You're being a good little helper, Alex," Fred said with a smile.
"Wanna help too," Chase pouted.
"You can help by coming up here and snuggling with me. It's a little cold," Fred said. Chase grinned and Fred helped him out on the bed so they could snuggle together.
