Sam, feeling herself melting against Daniel, smiled against his lips as they kissed. She always loved being close to him, especially when she could feel the reverberation of both of their feelings through their connection.
She then sat down after they parted, wondering exactly what was cooking in the kitchen. While he disappeared in there, she took a sip of her wine before picking up the bottle to look at it, her eyes widening. It seemed her husband had been planning this evening for a while. Given the wine vintage and the stuffed mushrooms he brought out.
"You're amazing, you know that?" she said, picking one up and taking a bite. "Hmmm."
She then saw him pull something out of his pants and tilted her head when he put the box in front of her. "You got...? You didn't have to..." she said as she opened it up. The moment she saw the ring, tears came to her eyes. "Oh, Daniel...it's beautiful."
Taking it out, she slipped it on her finger and took a deep breath before leaning over and kissing his deeply. "Thank you."
