Sam snorted softly when CJ started to stick her hand in her mouth. Looked like they were going to need those wet-ones a lot earlier than she had anticipated. She then looked at Daniel, raising her eyebrows just like her daughter. Given what they had seen, did he really think that CJ was going to wait until she was thirty-five?
After he disappeared into the bathroom with their youngest, Sam went to Molly's room to find their oldest putting some books and other items in her bag. "Hey there," she said, walking over and ruffling her hair. "Got everything for tonight?"
Molly nodded as she put a catalog in her bag.
"Still trying to decide what dress you want for Lis' party?"
"Yeah," she said. "I've never had a fancy dress before, and they're all really pretty."
"Well, tell you what. Why don't you pick your top five and make a list, and then we can sit down together and decide?" she said.
"Okay." Molly gave her a hug, which was much easier now that she was pregnant anymore. "Love you, Mom."
"Love you too," she said with a smile before kissing the top of her head. "Come on. Your dad should have your sister cleaned up now."
"I heard him laughing when he caught them digging," Molly said as she picked up her bag and hitched it over her shoulder.
Daniel had just finished with CJ, so Sam took her from him, and once they had said goodnight, she took the two of them over to the Sheppards. She thanked John and Fred for looking after them while she and Daniel had their night together then she kissed both her daughters. CJ giggled and crawled behind Chase when she put her down before waving from behind him.
"Have a good evening," John told her. "Don't worry. We'll watch those two."
Sam grinned and headed back to their quarters, where she was greeted by the smell of something delicious and her husband holding a bottle of wine as he stood next to the set table. "Hmmmm...smells good," she said as she walked up behind him and rested her cheek to his upper arm while wrapping her arm around his waist.
