Lifting her head, Max rubbed her eyes with the heels of her hands, and took a deep breath. All of this seemed too difficult to understand. She hadn't known Jennifer, but knew she was missed. When she had first started to work with Lis, all of them had mentioned their mother from time-to-time, even though it seemed to lessen. But still, she was the new person of the group and she didn't want the others to think she had pushed her way into Ronon's life.
As she sat there, staring at one of the plants, Max began to realize she was starting to miss being around Ronon. Was this how it was for the others? Shifting on the bench, she felt herself becoming a little anxious, and she was about to stand from the bench when Ronon came running in. And as he ran his hand over her hair, she closed her eyes.
Hearing him say it wasn't wrong, coupled with the simple affection he was showing her, Max suddenly knew it wasn't. She deeply cared for Ronon, and his kids, and if he said it wasn't wrong, then she had to believe him. And, she knew they would figure things out together.
"Okay," she said as she opened her eyes. She looked up at him, and gave him a weak smile. "I'm sorry for being overly dramatic and running off."
Max slowly tugged Ronon down beside her, and looked at him. The draw was there once again so she moved closer, and pressed her lips to his. After kissing him for a few moments, she pulled back and placed her hand to his cheek. She suddenly needed more from him - something she knew he could feel too.
"Do you want to get out of here and go somewhere private?" she asked.
