Max wasn't sure what was going to happen. She wanted to kiss him, something she had felt before they were ever connected. But she didn't think it would be a good idea. Too many people could get hurt because of that, and that was the last thing Max wanted to happen.
However, she couldn't deny the pull she felt toward him, and when he kissed her, she groaned and moved closer. It had to be the most wonderful kiss she had ever had. Max could feel everything Ronon was feeling, which made the kiss even more intense. Reaching up, she cupped the back of his neck and slowly deepened it.
When she needed to breathe, Max broke the kiss and slowly pulled back. As she looked at Ronon, she suddenly realized what they had done and she shook her head. "We can't," she said before standing from the couch. "It's wrong. You lost your wife, and you have your children to think about. I can't come into your life and mess it up, Ronon."
Max didn't give him a chance to say anything before she ran out of her quarters and to the nearest transporter. Stepping inside, she randomly hit the panel, and ended up in the family living area. Max ran out of the transporter and to the atrium. She sat down on a bench, and buried her face in her hands.
