Ronon could feel Max's turmoil, and he wished he knew what to tell her. Why had this happened with her when it hadn't happened with Jennifer? He knew that he felt closer to Max than anyone else, but how did that all lead to this? Especially since they hadn't...
Shaking his head, he was glad when she agreed to lay down, so he let her go while she went into the bathroom to clean up. While she was gone, he looked down at his hands, flexing them a few times before he tugged the chain with the themometer on it out from underneath his tunic.
How did he feel about Max? He cared about her a lot. He thought she was wonderful. But did he...love her? He didn't know. It was something he hadn't been able to think about.
Wrapping his hand around the themometer, he shoved it back under his tunic and looked over when Max came back out. When her voice rang in his mind a few moments later, he blinked. He should have realized.
"I...the doctor said you can...I just have to wake you up every couple of hours," he told her with a shrug. "'Course, if you don't want to sleep, I guess we can find something to do. Talk or something."
