Ronon stared down at Max as she rested her hands on him, trying to ignore the tingle that ran through him. He just wasn't used to this. He and Jennifer had never danced. So instead, he just shrugged when she said he was a good father and looked toward the hallway.
"They're good kids. I just try to do my best," he told her. "And no need to thank me. You've helping me and Lis more than anything. If you hadn't been here, I'm not sure what I would have done."
He looked at her again as she suddenly moved up toward him, kissing his cheek. He froze for a moment and swallowed hard. "Yeah," he said. "We probably should."
Looking into her eyes, he started moving with her, hoping he got the steps right. But he found himself thinking more about her than the dance moves.
