Ronon looked over at Max. Not think about it. For years, he had survived by relying on his instincts and not much more, but dancing...he couldn't do anything but think.
Before he could tell her that, he heard his son and turned around, watching as he spoke to Max. She really was good with kids. Better than he was sometimes.
Although when Finn said he was the best at tucking in, Ronon smiled and shrugged. "You just like it because I check under the bed," he said before going to pick his son up. He looked over at Max. "I'll be back soon."
Carrying Finn into the bedroom, he put him down on the bed and pulled the covers over him.
"Daddy, do you like Max?" Finn asked.
Ronon raised his eyebrows. "Why do you ask?"
"'Cause I like her."
"Yes, I like her," Ronon said with a soft snort. "Now go to sleep."
Finn snuggled down under the covers. "Daddy...I miss mommy."
Taking a deep breath, Ronon leaned over and kissed Finn's forehead. "So do I. Night, buddy."
He went back out to the living room where Max was sitting on the couch. "Do we...what to try again?" he asked. "I'll try not to think and try not to step on your feet."
