Carson wasn't surprised that the Sangui were very careful about using their blood to heal people. He knew firsthand how medicines and such things could be misused. He was sure it was only trusted people who knew the truth about Sangui blood - otherwise, he was sure that they would be hunted by several races and kept as slaves.
"Do women who have Sangui children have to continue to drink the blood once they've given birth?" he asked when Kade came over to explain the herbs more thoroughly after he gave Cait her drink.
He shook his head. "No since the amount is so little in comparison to what it needed to fully heal someone, and the child absorbs much of what is given."
Carson nodded and looked over at their lover as he reached around him to pick up one of the herbs. "You're so good to us," he told him softly with a smile.
"You're easy to be good to," he told him before nuzzling his temple briefly for a moment. "The three of you make me happy, even Rodney in his own way. It's been a long time since I've felt like this."
"I daresay the feeling is mutual." Kade looked over his shoulder. "Are you all right, Cait? Need anything more?"
