Once they were finished with the packing, Caitlin followed kade to his hut. She sat down in one of the chairs, and rubbed her stomach as Kade brought out the herbs. She leaned forward a little and looked at them before looking at Kade. "Restrative properties? The Sangui blood can heal, too?" she curiously asked.
"Yes," Kade said before he went over to his stove so he could boil some water. "Long amounts of our blood has the ability to heal. But it's something we aren't allowed to do a lot. The elders believe life should run its natural course, and we should only step in under special circumstances. Plus, when we use our blood to heal a human, we become connected to them, and they must drink our blood for the rest of their days. The only time a Sangui can freely give their blood to a human is in preparation to impregnate a human female, and for her to drink during her pregnancy."
Looking over at Carson, Caitlin raised her eyebrows. They seemed to learn something new about the Sanguis everyday. She then looked back at Kade, just as he sat a mug of hot liquid in front of her.
"You look tired, and thought this could help," Kade said before he reached up and ran his fingers through her hair. He then leaned over, and softly kissed her forehead. "Drink up, my love."
Caitlin nodded and picked up the mug as Kade went over to Carson to explain the herbs more.
