"I'm sure they will," Sam told Daniel with a soft smile. Because if there was anyone she trusted to get her back to her correct reality, they were in that room with her. She was glad that all of their lives were intertwined even in this reality.
Even Rodney McKay.
She found herself shaking her hand and snorting softly when he arrived, complaining about Carson and Caitlin. And when Fred made her married comment, she almost burst out laughing, but she quickly pressed her lips together and swallowed hard. The people here weren't the same. She had to keep reminding herself that, no matter how many times she looked at these people and saw her friends.
No matter how many times she wanted to slip her arms around this reality's Daniel and just hold on to him.
When Rodney asked who she was, she looked at him. "My name is Samantha Jackson, and because of me, you're about to be part of probably the biggest scientific moment of your life."
"Cool," he said. "Wait. What?"
Deciding that the others could fill him in, she nodded when Tim said they should go look at the Gate. All of them went out to get into cars to head to the museum.
"So you were the one that set off the alarm in the museum early this morning?" Emma asked.
Sam nodded. "Afraid so. I panicked and bolted since I had no idea what would happen."
"We wondered since there was no evidence of anyone having gotten in," she said.
When they reached the museum, Emma led them in and to the vestibule where the Gate was located. Sam walked over to it and pointed to it.
"See these pictograms? They're used to make up the addresses the Gate dials. Seven for within this galaxy - six constellations for coordinate triangulation and the seventh for the point of origin. To get to another galaxy, like where I was, you use eight. These chevrons lock the address in," she told them.
