Sam arched her eyebrows in amazement when Fred told her about the bridge. She had known Alex had been talking about building one when she was old enough, but it was interesting to hear that it could actually come to be. And when she mentioned that bridges had actually once connected the balconies around the city, she nodded.
"That actually makes a lot of sense," she said, thinking about how the smaller balconies were all built. "I'll be interested in seeing what Max is able to figure out."
When Rodney and Fred bickered a bit more, Sam just shook her head. She was pretty sure that the day those two stopped was the day Hestia would start an ice age.
In other words, a cold day in hell.
Standing back, she watched while Fred and Rodney got everything hooked up for the upgrade, and once they were ready, she moved forward a little just check everything. She nodded when Rodney suggested they move back, but before she could the Gate's dial sequence suddenly sped up. Turning around, Sam frowned, just as there was a burst of energy from the Gate.
She threw her hands up over her face and felt a pull as bright light surrounded her.
The next thing she knew, she on the floor in darkness.
