"Thanks for your help with this, Hank," Sam said as she sat in her office in her sundress and jacket. Molly was sitting on the couch, bouncing excitedly as she waited for her mom to finish so they could head out for their picnic.
Landry chuckled. "My pleasure. I've gotten to enjoy the look on Woosley's face when I tell him where to stick it."
Sam raised her eyebrows. "Good thing the president likes you so much."
"Yeah, I know. Drives Woosley bonkers too. Anyway, everything's all ready, so when we're done here, we'll redial once the Gate has shut down," he told her.
"Sounds good. Thanks again," she told him.
Once they had said goodbye, Sam stood up, seeing the Gate shut down through her office window. She smiled to Molly, who got up off the couch with Alek and accompanied her down into the Gate Room as it spun to life again. Once the event horizon coalesced, they waited until a German Shepherd came running out. Grinning, Sam leaned down and grabbed the leash trailing from the harness she wore.
"Hi, Bailey," she said. "Someone's going to be very glad to see you."
Taking her daughter's hand, they headed toward the stairs to the underwater bay, meeting Ronon and the kids on the way. Ronon looked at the dog for a moment before giving Sam a smile.
When they arrived, they saw that everyone was already there. John was obviously already getting the boat ready to go out while everyone waited in the bay. As soon as they stepped in, Baily let out a bark, so Sam released her leash as the dog bounded over to Max.
