"I guess not," Fred said, even though she was tempted to tell her husband to allow them to storm the place.
When Maya came back in, she smiled, glad to hear things had worked out with her father. Standing, Fred went to the door with John and looked at Maya's father. The blood drained from his face and he nodded.
"That is probably best. Come on. I'll take you out the side door," he said.
Taking John's hand, Fred followed Maya's father out. When they got to the side door, Torg was there and he opened it. As they stepped outside, Lorne and the rest of the team rushed forward with their guns drawn.
"What happened, Sir?" Lorne asked as he looked at John.
"How did you know we were in trouble?" Fred asked as she looked at the group.
"Chase told us. He was pretty upset. Alex and him are with Sam and Cait," Daniel explained.
Fred's throat tightened at the thought of Chase seeing them in trouble. She could only imagine how frightened both her little boy was. And, she was pretty sure Alex was scared too if she had been there to hear Chase.
As anger boiled inside her, she reached over and yanked Rodney's P-90 out of his hand. Ignoring his protests, Fred turned around and swung the gun, making it hit Trog in the face.
"She broke my nose!" he complained.
"That's for upsetting my kids," Fred hissed. "And if you don't stop complaining, I'll do more than break your nose."
