As Maya went outside to talk to her father, John smiled at his wife as she came over to sit down with him. Wrapping his arm around her, he held her close, resting his head against hers and laying his hand on her stomach.
"This has definitely been a hell of a day," he agreed. "And here we thought it was going to be nothing more than a simple survey mission."
When looked toward the window, John looked over before getting up and walking over. Sure enough, there was Lorn with Ronon, Daniel, Rodney and a few other military. "They must have come on the Daedalus," he said before turning his head her direction. "I guess letting them lay siege to the place wouldn't be a good idea, huh?"
Just then Maya came back in. "Well, he's not happy, but he understands," she said. "We're going to talk about me getting to do other things for a while."
"Good." John then went to door and opened it up to find Maya's father standing there still. "You might like to know that our people are outside. May want to let us see them, so we can tell them everything's okay unless you want a shootout in the middle of your casino."
