John glanced over at Fred as he flew around the energy source. For her not to know what that was said a lot because his wife knew a lot, and even if something was strange, she could usually at least pinpoint what it might be.
He brought the jumper in a little closer, which allowed Fred to see the source better. A satellite? Weren't satellites supposed to be in space?
"All right," he said. "Bringing her in."
Circling around, he found an open place near the source and landed the jumper. Once he had everything secure, he got up and opened the hatch in the back. Quickly, he surveyed the area to make sure there was nothing hostile around.
"Looks clear," he told Fred before they left the jumper and approached the source. He furrowed his brow as he looked at it. "That looks like it should even be here. Like someone set this up."
Suddenly, a bolt of electricity shot out past them.
