Even though Rodney was still a bit unsure, he knew he had to trust his spouses judgement. Plus, he knew he needed to trust Kade if they were going to learn how to control their connection. He would just watch closely and make sure Kade didn't get out of control where Carson was concerned.
After Carson left to get the girls, Rodney looked at Caitlin, who was slowly falling asleep. With a small snort, he shifted on the couch and stood up. He scooped her up and carried her to their bedroom, where he laid her down and tucked her in. "Get some sleep, hon," he whispered before kissing her forehead.
He had just walked out into the living room when Carson walked in with Erin and Charlie. Quickly, he raised his finger to his lips. "Mommy's sleeping so we have to be quiet," he told them.
"Shh!" Charlie said as she put her own finger to her lips.
"How was school, sweetpea?" Rodney asked as he picked Erin up.
"Good but Maggie got mad! A woman doctor came in and made her mad!" Erin said with wide eyes.
"Doctor Pace?" he asked.
Erin nodded. "She not a doctor like Papa!" she said before she crossed her arms over her chest.
Rodney looked over at Carson and sighed. He really hoped Doctor Pace stayed away from his lab. Shaking his head, he looked down at Erin. "Want to help me make dinner? How does soup and sandwiches sound?" he asked.
"Yum! Wanna help!" Erin said, bouncing in his arms.
