Max looked at the woman and slowly blinked her eyes. She wasn't making demands, nor was she bossy the people around. At least she didn't think so. All she was doing was following Woosley's advice. "I wasn't trying to make any sort of demand, Colonel Jackson," she said as she straightened her posture a bit. "I just think it's important for your senior staff got to know me and understood what's expected of them."
Dropping her shoulder bag to the floor, Max kneeled beside it and took out the papers Woosley had given her. She stood up and opened the first page. "The IOA has a list of things they want me to discuss with you," she said as she looked down at the list. She then looked up at all of them. "They're concerned about all the legal papers they've had to file since the beginning of the expedition. Divorce papers and adoption papers and--."
"Wait a minute," Daniel said as he stepped forward. "Those were all legitimaten filings and were approved by General Landry."
"But Landry isn't the IOA," Max pointed out before she looked at the list again. "The IOA also thinks the number of children being born in the city is getting out of control and is wondering why Doctor Beckett hasn't been handing out birth control."
"Do you know what I think?" Fred asked as she stood from the steps and walked over to Max. "I think the IOA can fuck off."
Max looked at the woman for a moment before nodding. "Noted," she muttered before looking at Sam. "Would you like a copy of this list so you can look it over before tomorrow?"
