Shrugging a little, Evan continued to walk. He viewed his job in the Pegasus galaxy as a sort of protector. He knew he would do anything to protect Kyri and her people. She meant the world to him and Evan didn't want anything to happen to her or her people.
"Very true," he said with a soft laugh when she pointed out the storm had chased him to her hut. "Guess I better be thankful for it then."
When the came to the river, he grinned. It was beautiful out there. Nice and peaceful. If he could, Evan would spend all his time out there. Of course Kyri and Mike would have to be with him. Looking at Kyri, his grin grew. "It's wonderful out here. I almost wish I would've brought my sketchbook with," he commented before he leaned over and gave her a small kiss.
Pulling back, Evan pulled his shoulder bag off his shoulder and opened it. He pulled out a piece of paper and looked at Kyri. "I drew this for you. Mike helped. Well, kind of. She hung over my shoulder and watched me draw it," he said with a soft chuckle as he held out the picture.
It was a picture of Kyri standing on top of a rock with two grey wolves standing on either side of her.
