Sam rubbed her temple while Daniel spoke to Molly about the rules regarding the tower. It was obvious that their daughter knew she and her friends had done something very wrong, but at the same time, she knew that they couldn't just let this slide by either.
When Radek told her that the power had been fixed, she touched her headset. "Thank you, Radek. Let me know if you find any other damage."
After Jennifer had come to get Callie and Lis, Sam went with Daniel and Molly into her office, shutting the door behind them so they could have some privacy. She could sense her husband's consternation over what they had to do. It was first time they were actually having to discipline Molly, and it was an easy thing to face.
"Molly, you know why we put those rules in place?" she asked, going over and leaning against her desk as Molly sat down in the chair.
"Because there's a lot of things that you haven't figured out about the city," Molly said, looking down. "And they could hurt us if we activate one of them."
She nodded. "And because there's a lot of machinery and computers in the tower that we rely on. Your dad and I could have been stuck in his office if he hadn't have managed to get the doors open."
Molly's eyes widened. "We didn't mean for that to happen. We were...we were pretending that we had just discovered the city."
Sam went over to her and touched her head. "We know. But you still did something you shouldn't have. We love you, Molly, and if something had happened to you..."
Molly looked up at her. "I know. So I'm grounded?" she asked.
Sam turned to look at Daniel. I think that's fair. No playing with Lis and Callie for a week, and she has to wait with Aislin and Natalia until one of us can pick her up?
