It had been a long day for him. There were things going on in Oa that he had to help with, Claire had him go to some meeting early in the morning, then they had lunch. Sometimes he thought being a boyfriend wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He'd saved the world, yet she still thought she could tell him what to do. He sighed as he relaxed, flying back towards Earth, this was his time to clear his head and that was just what he did. Hal let everything go, clearing his mind and letting the wariness from the day seep from him. He needed some sleep, that much he was certain of, he doubted very seriously he'd get any though.
He was getting closer to the Earths atmosphere and he only hoped he could make it to his apartment and into his bed before something else happened. He'd gotten so caught up in his whole mind clearing that he didn't notice a portal opening just ahead of him until it was too late. The power of it was sucking him in no matter how hard he fought against it. As it started to close he watched his world disappearing and then he blacked out.
He didn't know how long it had been or where he was, but when he started to come to his senses he felt like he was falling. When he opened his eyes he realized that was exactly what was happening and the ground was way too close. Quickly he pointed his arm down and the green light emerged from the ring, forming a cushion that he fell atop of. Hal panted and slowly got up, looking around. The place looked normal, like home. Well, not his town, but like Earth. He could hear people and saw a sign just across the street that said Merlottes. He let the green suit fade away, his clothes were beneath it. Slowly he walked through the door, happy to see it was a bar, because boy did he need a drink.
