WHO: Skye & Sterling Archer.
WHAT: Skye needs to blow off steam and he offered to tag along.
WHEN: Not long after this exchange.
WHERE: Lux.
RATING: TBD but there will be drinking and language at the very least.
STATUS: In progress.
As ideas went this was definitely not one of her brightest but honestly she couldn't seem to find it in herself to care. She'd been bored, looking for things to do and had ended up talking to someone who looked exactly like Ward but he wasn't Ward. And talking to him had been nice, she wasn't sure but she might have even flirted with him a little, she was out of practice on that front but she couldn't exactly be blamed for that after the last guy she flirted with turned out to be a backstabbing traitor. Okay, he wasn't here but here... well here he was involved with May and that was just a whole thing she wasn't quite able to handle yet. Of course that had come up in her conversation with Sterling, as had the fact her own mother had tried to kill her. That had been the thing which had pushed her into making this decision. Was it healthy? Probably not. Did she care? Definitely not.
She'd given him an out, offered him the chance to back out if he wanted to but he hadn't taken it so why the hell shouldn't she go out and have some fun with an attractive guy. If it was just drinking and dancing that was fine with her, she just needed to get out of her head for a little while and it was better if someone was with her when she did that. He'd offered as well and it had seemed rude not to take him up on it after she'd basically managed to get him to tell her his life story, or a large chunk of it and a lot of what he'd told her was personal, either the guy had no problem talking about that stuff or they'd been bonding. Either way she'd agreed to meet him at Lux.
Which was where she was right now. At the bar downing her second shot. Okay, maybe that was a bad idea but she had needed something to take the edge off, she'd been close to coming unraveled and the alcohol helped dull the sensation. She'd changed into a dress, nothing too scandalous but something that definitely showed off her figure nicely and put on a pair of heels. If Sterling was anywhere near Ward's height she felt she'd need them and it might provide a laugh later if she decided to show him how she couldn't run in heels. Honestly though all she was looking for out of the night was a chance to let her hair down and forget about everything for a little while. So she was doing that with a guy who looked exactly like the man who had broken her heart, that didn't mean anything.
Despite the alcohol already dulling her senses she felt someone approaching behind her, she didn't bother turning around. It wasn't exactly crowed in the club so it was likely Sterling coming up behind her but if it wasn't she'd handle it. Without turning around she gestured at the bartender to get her two more shots, she wouldn't make him play catch up unless he wanted to but she wanted another and it would be rude not to include him now he'd joined her.
"Hope you don't have a problem with shots," Skye said loud enough to be heard over the music as she picked up the shots and turned to face him, almost dropping both glasses when she saw him because talking to him over the network and knowing he looked like Ward was one thing but to suddenly have him standing in front of her, well she hadn't been prepared for that.
"Hi," Skye said, realizing she probably sounded like an idiot but she didn't know what else to do. Suddenly she was regretting those two shots she'd already had because if she were stone cold sober then maybe she wouldn't be gawping at him like a fish as her eyes roamed over him.
