"I woke up outside the library," Not the strangest place she'd suddenly found herself- the drawbacks of the life of an insomniac DJ. But it was proof they didn't all come to with an IV stuck in her arm. Riley would likely still be dealing with the aftermath of that, had that been the case. "I'm sure she and Amanita will end up somewhere safe," There was only a vague impression of Nomi's girlfriend in her mind, like a retelling of a dream, but even from that much she could gather how important the two were to each other. If this place was as benevolent as they were trying to make it seem, it only made sense the women would show up together.
Riley watched Will like a hawk as they made their way out the doors. Physically he was uninjured, she knew, but those drugs had to have taken their toll. And even as tough as he was, she didn't want him pushing himself just to show off or "seem strong." He didn't have anything to prove to her, how could he?
Feeling him relax once they were out in the sunlight brought the smile right back to Riley's face. Even if this was all some kind of ruse, actually being together and happy for a moment was worth it. She hadn't seen that happiness even being an option just a few days before. The date talk made her smile turn mischievous. It was so strange to think of them as 'dating' when Will already felt, literally, like a part of her. But the idea was definitely a good one- something normal and good to come out of their little forced relocation.
"Once we get you fed and standing on your own, I'll let you whisk me away. The diner is very romantic, actually" She teased, nudging him gently in the side. That would be the kicker. She hadn't quite found a good night spot in the town, for the limited exploration she'd undertaken. But there were enough people, if only just-- they had to have something. Not that it ultimately mattered. She could sit holed up in her gifted apartment watching the news with him and be content. He was there- that's all she wanted.
