Sam was well aware that target practice wasn't exactly much use to hunters. Even some of the mechanical targets that some ranges had weren't really any better, the movement was too predictable to someone who was used to facing off against something that was trying to kill you as soon as look at you. He found however that there were a lot of people in Storybrooke who didn't have the first clue about shooting. The targets here were pretty much perfect for people like that. When it came to practicing with his own weapons he simply used it to fine tune his aim, it wouldn't do to get out of practice with the absence of anything to actually hunt.
He was tense, to say the least, after both of the conversations he'd just had. Still he returned Gretel's smile as he walked over towards them. "Everything okay?" He said to both of them.
