Sam's little bubble had popped pretty abruptly earlier that day when Jo had apparently reappeared. She had no memory of her time here in Storybrooke and had apparently come from a point in time before she died. Sam had wanted to tell her before she googled herself or someone else told her, but he wasn't able to get to her right now. He'd sort if backed himself into a corner and had eventually given in and told her over the network. Suddenly he'd gone from cloud 9 to utter crap. As if he didn't already feel enough guilt over Jo and Ellen, having to explain it to Jo who was basically feeling it fresh....this was like torture. He frowned slightly as his PDA pinged again, taking it out of his pocket to respond quickly as Gretel and her brother walked through the door.
He looked up at her words and quickly let the frown drop from his face, even allowing a half smile to tug at his lips if not at his eyes. "Uh hi." He said as he offered a handshake to Hansel. "Gretel's told me a lot about you." He said, glancing very briefly at Gretel and allowing a flash of affection to pass between them as their eyes met.
