Beyond the whole portal thing and the fact that coffee was practically given away to people now -really, they had it all the time, everywhere, you could just expect that everyone would have it- Hansel had yet to fully process everything that Gretel was telling him. There were pros to it all, naturally. The plumbing thing and heated water was remarkably easy to just accept and not question, along with the odd ways they cooked food and the fact that they used parchment for paper.
The device had yet to be fully tested at all because Hansel wasn't entirely concerned with learning just how to use such a thing just yet. Gretel had instead shown him the town they were apparently confined to, which Hansel was sure would get to be a lot annoying very quickly, and explain as much as she could without his head getting that aching, throbbing way it got when there was just too much going on.
It was a head trip, that was all.
He'd flat out refused to wear the flimsy materials that this town seemed to declare 'normal', maintaining his own clothes the whole time. He was far more willing to be a little uncomfortable at times that be in something that would rip if he caught it on a tree branch. "Two of you? I can only just stand the one."
It was a tease, of course, but really he was setting the bar for weird shit really low. Since this whole place was weird shit.
