All the worry, the lack of sleep, the nerves frayed over the last weeks had crashed down in a wave of relief that was just too big to contain. It had hit her hard, but it was ebbing now. Enough for Gretel to cut a short, sardonic laugh at his comment about it being fucking weird. Closing her eyes, the emotional pressure behind her sinuses finally let up, and she nodded against his brow.
"Yes- yes, it is," Gretel said, pulling back but still staying close under his arm so they could actually move. "And it gets a lot weirder... but it's not all bad."
